West Coast Major League Baseball Stadium

THE CHALLENGE

We were asked to develop a solution to the trash spills and pooling liquids found in waste receptacles and collection containers caused by leaking trash liners. Trash collection is a
high priority because high-traffic establishments generate huge amounts of trash. Leaking trash liners create a mess in the trash receptacles and the floor while transferring or transporting trash. These spills cause unsafe floors, emit odors, and reflect poorly on the facility.

OUR SOLUTION: Advantex® Spill Hero™

The 14″ x 14″ Advantex® High-Absorbency Single-use Spill Hero™ pad is designed to absorb 128 oz. (1 gallon) water-based spills in minutes or days. Patent Pending #62/629,371

SUMMARY & RESULTS

The new Advantex Spill Hero Pad Solution resulted in cleaner floors, less trash receptacle clean-outs, and overall higher stadium cleanliness approval ratings. The Spill Hero pads exceeded customer expectations and greatly reduced trash liner spillage during stadium events, which averaged 42,000 patrons.

PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE

The Spill Hero pads maintained a cleaner and more pleasant stadium environment and played a crucial role in improving health and safety. By reducing the chances of liquid or odors escaping, they helped mitigate the risk of spreading potential contaminants. This is particularly important in preventing the nuisance of strong-smelling or leaking garbage bags that attract pests and pose potential health hazards.

IMPROVED EVS EFFICIENCY

Our Spill Hero reduced the challenge of sanitation problems spreading to the trash bin or, even worse, onto the floor. Spill Hero pads improved efficiency by drastically reducing trash receptacle sanitation and spot clean-up for transportation leakage.

REDUCE LIABILITY CHALLENGE

Wet floors can be hazardous, no matter the reason. They are a significant contributor to slips and falls, which result in serious injuries. Our Spill Hero eliminated a significant source of the stadium’s wet floors by locking trash leakage into our pad for easy drip-free disposal.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The Advantex Spill Hero Pad solution has reduced sanitation workforce hours by eliminating the worry of messy spills from leaking trash liners. Less wet floors also lower the risk of personal injuries from slip-and-fall incidents, leading to significant cost savings. A clean event stadium reflects your commitment to patron safety and enhances their overall experience, driving ticket sales and ensuring their return.

EVS Carts: Stainless Steel vs Plastic

EVS Carts: Stainless Steel vs Plastic

SUSTAINABILITY MATTERS

Enterprise® Stainless Steel vs Plastic EVS Carts

When it comes to choosing between stainless steel and plastic EVS carts, there are significant differences. It is important to consider the environmental impact, health and safety considerations, and lifetime cost when making your choice.

In addition to all the environmental benefits, stainless steel has a clean, professional appearance, is extremely hygienic, easy to maintain, and highly durable.

Conclusion: Stainless steel is a symbol of environmental responsibility.

Geerpres® Stainless Steel Enterprise® EVS Carts

Common Plastic EVS Carts

Production Impact

Stainless steel is an alloy of iron, and, in some cases, other metals. Thoroughly and infinitely recyclable, stainless steel is considered the “green material,” ultimately requiring less raw natural resources because the recovery rate is close to 100%.

Plastic extraction and processing requires significant amounts of oil or natural gas resources and can have significant environmental consequences, such as air and water pollution, habitat damage, and greenhouse gas emissions.

health & safety

Stainless steel is antibacterial and easy to sanitize. The non-porous metal prevents the buildup of germs and infection-causing bacteria. The high corrosion resistance holds up to the cleaning solutions that contain acid.

Chemical cleaners can cause discoloration and cracks in the plastic. These harbor points are collection zones for grime and pathogens. Plastic carts may act as carriers of pathogenic bacteria and viruses.

durability & reusability

Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion and is a highly durable and long-lasting material that can be recycled indefinitely without losing its quality or strength.

Life-cycle = 20+ Years

Plastic is a relatively cheap and lightweight material commonly used for low-grade EVS cart manufacturing. It is less durable than stainless steel and is prone to breaking down and degrading over time.

Life-cycle = 4-6 Years

end-of-life Impact

At the end of its life, stainless steel can be recycled into new products, reducing the need for new mining and production.
Plastic can be recycled, but it is often difficult and expensive, so disposed plastic carts frequently end up in landfills, where it takes hundreds of years to break down.

Sustainability MATTERS

Sustainability MATTERS

Advantex® Single-Use Microfiber Mops are the only choice that supports sustainability initiatives.

The Advantex® Single-use Mop has a significantly lower environmental impact than a reusable laundered mop in every category assessed in the EPA TRACI model. A contribution analysis on the global warming potential of the two indicates that the electrical power and chemistry needed to wash and dry the reusable mop dominates environmental adverse implications.
